The story
About this festival.
Kirkland Uncorked is a grand tasting wine festival held annually in Kirkland, Washington — described by organizers as Washington's largest summer wine festival, drawing 30,000+ total guests over 3 days at Marina Park on the shores of Lake Washington. The 2026 edition runs July 17–19, with the 21+ Tasting Garden accommodating 8,500+ attendees for wine pours, beer, cocktails, and live music alongside a broader all-ages footprint.
The festival divides into two distinct zones. The 21+ Tasting Garden is where wine tasting takes place, featuring Washington wineries including Cairdeas Winery, Tipsy Canyon Winery, Michael Florentino Cellars, Broken Trust Cellars, Latta Wines, and Succession Wines. Beyond wine, the Tasting Garden hosts a Burger Brawl and live music performances. The adjacent all-ages Uncorked Market operates as a craft fair, and the broader event also includes a boat show and a dog modeling contest — making Kirkland Uncorked a multi-format outdoor festival rather than a purely wine-focused tasting event. Food trucks and food stands are present throughout, with culinary vendors running alongside the winery lineup.
Kirkland Uncorked also functions as a fundraiser for Motley Zoo Animal Rescue, a volunteer-powered, foster-based 501(c3) nonprofit based in Redmond, WA. Founded in 2009, Motley Zoo has placed more than 4,500 animals in homes and operates Motley Zoo at Woods Creek Kennels for dog training and boarding. Attendees can make a voluntary donation at the time of ticket purchase to support the organization. Ticket prices had not been publicly listed at the time of this writing — check the official website at kirklanduncorked.com for current pricing and on-sale dates, as vendor space has historically sold out.
Kirkland sits on the eastern shore of Lake Washington, within the greater Puget Sound region. Washington wine country — centered on appellations like Columbia Valley, Walla Walla Valley, and Red Mountain — produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Riesling, and Chardonnay at scale. Kirkland Uncorked draws from that statewide producer base, offering a Pacific Northwest–focused lineup in a lakeside setting that reflects the region's outdoor festival culture.
