What to expect at groups wine events

Group wine events reward planning. The best events for groups (8–20+ people) offer group ticket bundles, shuttle service from city centers, and designated meeting spots so your crew stays connected across multiple tasting stages. Multi-winery outdoor events with wide open layouts work better than intimate boutique events for groups.

Insider tips

  • Designate one person to hold the group ticket bundle and coordinate entry — event gates can get congested.
  • Split into sub-groups of 3–4 to move through the winery booths faster, then reconvene at a central food vendor.
  • Ask about shuttle or charter bus arrangements when buying group tickets — organizers often partner with transport providers.

Frequently asked questions

Do wine events offer group discounts?
Many do for groups of 10 or more — typically 10–20% off GA tickets. Always contact the organizer directly via email or phone rather than buying individually online to access group rates.
What is the ideal group size for a wine event?
Groups of 6–12 hit the sweet spot: large enough to split up and compare notes, small enough to stay coordinated. Groups over 20 should consider private buyout events or winery group tours instead.
How do I handle designated drivers in a group?
Most events offer a Designated Driver (DD) ticket at $10–$25 that covers non-alcoholic beverages and food access. Always check for a DD tier when buying.
