The story
About this festival.
Atlanta Food & Wine Festival presented by Invesco QQQ is a four-day food and wine festival held annually in Atlanta, Georgia — drawing over 15,000 attendees and featuring more than 200 chefs, sommeliers, mixologists, and culinary insiders each year. Running September 11–14 at its new home, The Home Depot Backyard at 1 Backyard Way, the festival has operated since 2011 and is produced by Agency 21 (a21), a culinary events production company.
The festival's centerpiece is the Tasting Tents presented by Goya Foods, a walk-around format where 60+ chefs and culinary personalities present food and beverage offerings spanning Southern cuisine, regional wines, beer, and craft spirits. New additions include a fourth day of Tasting Tents, immersive hands-on experiences designed around Southern flavor, and Whiskey & Fire — a first-time collaboration between Heritage Fire and Whiskies of the World. Beyond the tasting tents, the program includes curated intimate dinners hosted at restaurants across Atlanta, where all-inclusive menus feature beverage pairings with beer, wine, champagne, and cocktails. Over 80 brand partners support the event, and the festival works with Event Zero Inc., a nonprofit focused on sustainable event practices. Confirmed 2025 talent includes Andrew Zimmern and Scott Conant, among others.
All Atlanta Food & Wine Festival events are 21 and older — valid ID is required at every event, and tickets are non-refundable for guests who cannot verify their age. No children, infants, or pets are permitted, with the exception of ADA-certified service animals. Guests attending intimate dinners can submit dietary restrictions during ticket purchase, with requests due at least two weeks before the festival; larger tasting events cannot accommodate individual dietary needs. There is no enforced dress code, though outdoor events make weather-appropriate clothing advisable. Ticket prices had not been announced at time of publication.
Atlanta sits outside the country's major AVA wine regions, but the festival's focus is deliberately broader — spotlighting Southern food culture, regional producers, and craft beverage makers across wine, beer, and spirits. The guest profile skews local: 68% of attendees come from the greater Atlanta area, with 65% reporting household incomes above $180,000 and the largest age segment falling between 25 and 37.
