The story

About this festival.

Mountain View Art & Wine Festival is a two-day downtown street festival in Mountain View, California, on September 12 and 13, 2026, and the 2026 edition is its 54th. Readers of Metro have voted it the best festival in the South Bay several times. Alongside the art booths, food and music on Castro Street, the festival runs a ticketed Wine Tasting Experience: a lounge with more than 16 tastings from 8 boutique and heritage California wineries, where the vintners pour and talk through their wines.

Wineries listed for the lounge include Duncan Peak Vineyards, Frey Vineyards, Rojas Vineyards & Winery, Summit Lake Vineyards, Parea Wines and Wine & Barrel Company both days, with Moshin Vineyards and Patent Wines on Saturday only and Elaine Wines and Oxlee Graham Wines on Sunday only. The published pour list leans to Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir from Napa, Sonoma and Mendocino, with a Petit Verdot, a Mencía and a Sagrantino for range. Lounge tickets are limited; festival admission itself is free. Mountain View is a Caltrain stop, and the station is a few blocks from the festival footprint.
