Sonoita AVA New Release Festival is a one-day celebration of Arizona's oldest wine appellation at Sonoita Vineyards in Elgin, Arizona, on Saturday, November 14, 2026, from 10 AM to 5 PM, where the wineries of the Sonoita AVA pour their newest releases. Tickets are $30. Announced producers include Sonoita Vineyards, The Elgin Winery, Lightning Ridge Cellars, Twisted Union Wine Company, Desert Blossom Winery, Flying Kite Vineyards, Strive Vineyards, 1764 Vineyards, Wilhelm Vineyards, Sunset Ride, Salvatore Vineyards and Passion Cellars, with The Elgin Distillery alongside.
Food trucks Las Vigas and Sonora Flavors serve, Jeff & Jill Driscoll play, beer is sold by the glass and bottle, and from 12 to 1 PM Father Greg of St. Andrew's Catholic Parish gives the festival's annual Blessing of the New Releases. Sonoita Vineyards, at 290 Elgin-Canelo Road, was Arizona's first commercial winery; the AVA sits at 5,000 feet in the grasslands an hour southeast of Tucson.
