The story
About this festival.
Food enthusiasts gathered in Tuscaloosa County for a celebration of regional cuisine and beverages. The West Alabama Food & Wine Festival in Northport featured over 30 local vendors showcasing their finest offerings along Main Avenue in downtown Northport. Attendees sampled dishes from popular establishments like River, The Juicy Crab, and Southern Ale House, alongside wine selections from local vineyards and craft beers from Black Warrior Brewing Company. Nearly 800 people attended the event, which has become a highlight of the spring season since its inception in 2014. The festival's layout of tents along Main Avenue provided ample space for visitors to navigate between exhibitors and enjoy their samples at numerous benches and tables. Live music from local jazz quartet The Brass Notes provided a sophisticated backdrop for the culinary exploration. Festival organizers incorporated a silent auction featuring restaurant gift certificates and cooking classes, with proceeds benefiting the West Alabama Food Bank.
