About This Festival
Wine enthusiasts from across the five boroughs converged on Chelsea Industrial for one of New York's premier tasting events presented by Urban Uncorked Productions. The transformed warehouse space hosted over 75 wineries including notable participants Mondavi Vineyards, Brooklyn Oenology, and several boutique producers from the Finger Lakes region. Nearly 3,000 attendees sampled more than 300 varieties of wine ranging from bold California cabernets to delicate New York rieslings while enjoying cheese and charcuterie pairings from Murray's Cheese and Dickson's Farmstand Meats. The Chelsea Industrial venue's exposed brick walls and soaring ceilings provided an atmospheric backdrop for live performances by jazz quartet The Manhattan Blend and acoustic folk duo Harbour Lights. Expert-led seminars throughout the day included blind tastings, food pairing workshops, and a special masterclass on sustainable viticulture practices by renowned sommelier Alicia Hartman. Interactive features included a "Blend Your Own Wine" station where guests created custom bottles to take home and a virtual reality experience transporting visitors to vineyards around the world. The event celebrated not only established wineries but also highlighted emerging New York producers, underscoring the city's growing importance in the national wine culture.
